The robot hive of broken down dog masks is upon us.  They want to run but they have no legs only faces.  They stare and float in the sky.  They move together as one like a school of fish from the deep blue ocean.  They swerve left and right dreaming of the days of Ms. Pacman 1986.  The eyes stare creepily out across the way.  A grandfather pauses between chess moves to glance to the sky.  Due to his glaucoma he cannot see what many would think impossible.  In a dream perhaps this would be normal.  The man returns to his chess game.  A grey feral cat crosses the street in search of a meal.  The dog masks float away into nothingness.  A Buick turns a corner and slams into a convenience store.  Broken glass and metal is heard by many however nobody turns to look or is even curious to what has happened.  A burglar alarm sounds loudly, humans are disgusted and annoyed that their cell phone conversation has been interrupted by such an annoyance.  A sewer rat pokes his head out from a drainage grate.  A putrid smell rises from below however the rat does not mind.  He returns to the darkness below.  A girl skips rope in front of her house  while the wind blows her hair across her face.  A neighbor waters his lawn and waves at the child from across the way.  This neighbor is determined to have the greenest yard in town.

 A damn near repeat of last week.  I've probably only thrown maybe 5 career 700 series' and now I've thrown sevens in back to back weeks!  On top of that about 3 weeks ago I went 30/30 for the first time ever and now a few weeks later I do it again!  It's a crazy time right now and I do feel more focused.  I have given up soda/alcohol/caffeine as a "New Year's resolution." I'm not sure how long I'm going to go with that I'm just playing it day to day.  No guarantees,  but since I've replaced my Georgia Peach Green Tea's with blue Gatorade my average is 230+.   I also overtook high average.

It couldn't come at a better time however as we are far from guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.  We didn't win either of the first two thirds and so it's win the third third or as a fail safe we could still wind up with the wildcard.  With only 3 people on our team though we all really need to be bowling our best over these final 9 weeks.  We went 5-2 to begin the third third and are 82-65 overall.

Jobbing it up on these updates.  Here's a quick summary of  the last 9 games.  Pretty mediocre at best.  At least my 10 pin conversion rate is improving (12 for 13)

Fifteen no-tap strikes on the night (9 counts) is better than eleven 7 counts a few weeks ago and close to a triplicate there.  I believe I mentally dominated myself as about halfway through game 2 I realized I  hadn't thrown a double (XX) all night. Only 9 strikes but also only 3 open frames on the night.  Spare conversions have been improving but trying to string any XXX together continues to be a struggle. Our team has lost it's fire and it really seems like we are just 4 guys cut and pasted together.  Nothing like in years past with the team chemistry.  This season has been pretty much bleh so far.  Somehow we sit at 26-30 on the year.  I really feel the way we are going our W/L record would be worse.  186ish average through 8 weeks.
